为整治各种评比达标泛滥的现象，2012年3月，全国评比达标表彰工作协调小组印发《社会组织评比达标表彰活动管理暂行规定》，规定社会组织开展评比达标表彰活动要经过中央或省级党委政府批准，未经审批的一律不得举办。2022年，《规定》成为正式的管理办法，重申评比达标表彰活动要严格审批、总量控制、合理设置，且实行目录管理，白名单之外的评比达标表彰活动，一律不准举办。
